The participants of the Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad held in Baku have visited the cities of Khankendi and Shusha, the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan told reporters.
According to the information, the scientists reportedly met with the Karabakh University rector and faculty after getting to know the city of Khankendi.
The university's rector, Shahin Bayramov, welcomed Azerbaijani scientists overseas to Karabakh, updated them on the university's modernization, and discussed future goals.
The sides exchanged views on establishing scientific cooperation between the scientists living abroad and Karabakh University, as well as the possibility of using their knowledge and experience.
Furthermore, Azerbaijani scientists living abroad addressed President Ilham Aliyev in the city of Khankendi.
Afterward, the participants of the Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad traveled to Shusha. They familiarized themselves with the reconstruction being carried out in Shusha and visited historical sites of the cultural capital.
The Azerbaijani scientists named the continuation and completion of the Forum in Karabakh a historic event and stated that they will continue to do everything possible for the future of Azerbaijan, and contribute to building stronger bridges between the world and Azerbaijani science.
Azerbaijani scientists living abroad emphasized that the meeting with the leading staff of Karabakh University was an invaluable happiness for them, left an indelible trace in their memory, and deepened the essence of the visit.
To note, the Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad started its work on September 9 in Baku. More than 80 Azerbaijani scientists, scholars, and professors from 23 countries took part in the forum.
