These areas have the highest and lowest interest rates on loans
The highest limit of interest rates on loans in Azerbaijan was recorded in the Nagorno-Shirvan economic region (Agsu, Ismayilli, Gobustan and Shamakhi).
Yeniavaz.com reports with reference to the latest statistics from the Central Bank, the average interest rate on loans in these regions was 19.1%.
The lowest interest rate was observed in the capital Baku (11.5%).
Since 79.5% of loans issued (19.87 billion manats) were in the city of Baku, the overall percentage of loans in the country was lower (12.9%) compared to the regions.
The highest interest rate on loans in foreign currency was recorded in the Mil-Mugan economic region (Beylagan, Imishli, Saatli and Sabirabad). The interest rate on foreign currency loans in this region was 13.97%. The lowest interest rate on loans in foreign currency was recorded in Baku - 5.38%.
The highest interest rate on loans issued in national currency was recorded in the Nagorno-Karabakh economic region, where the interest rate was 19.14%. The lowest interest rate was registered in Baku. The average interest rate on loans in national currency in Baku was 13.3%.
