A protocol of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan will be drawn up in connection with the snap parliamentary election, the CEC Deputy Chairman Rovzat Gasimov said during today’s CEC meeting in Baku, AzVision.az reports.
He noted that the work of district election commissions should be considered completed.
“Therefore, a protocol must be drawn up,” he explained.
The CEC Chairman, Mazahir Panahov, pointed out that it's necessary to take a break to draw up the protocol.
“When preparing the protocol, you should carefully read the numbers. CEC Secretary Arifa Mukhtarova and commission members Ilkin Shahbazov and Ramiz Ibrahimov will take part in drawing up the protocol,” Panahov added.
The snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.
A total of 112,749 local observers were registered, including over 65,000 representatives of political parties. There were 598 international observers from 51 organizations and 69 countries.
Among the 990 registered candidates, 305 represented 25 political parties, while 371 were party members but were not nominated by their parties. In total, 676 candidates were affiliated with political parties.
