On September 23, 2024, the next consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran were held in Baku, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released information in this regard, APA reports.
Within the framework of consular consultations, the Iranian delegation was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, and during the meeting, the current state of cooperation between the two countries and the direction of developing that cooperation were exchanged.
At the same time, the issues of cooperation between internal affairs, border and customs bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran were touched upon within the framework of consultations.

Alireza Mahmoudi, Director General of Consular Affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifoc within the framework of his visit to Baku, according to Iranian Embassy to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Development of bilateral relations between the countries and facilitation of consular issues have been discussed at the meeting.
Alireza Mahmoudi has also met with Head of Consular Department of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
